Is a global, competency-based credential that is designed to validate the skills and knowledge of an HR professional who operates in a global marketplace. The credential demonstrates the mastery of cross-border HR responsibilities to include strategies of globalization, development of HR policies and initiatives that support organizational global growth and employer retention and creation of organizational programs, processes and tools that achieve worldwide business goals.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 2 years of global experience in an exempt-level (professional) HR position with a Master's degree or higher, OR
• A minimum of 3 years of experience (with 2 of the 3 being global HR experience) in an exempt-level (professional) HR position with a Bachelor's degree, OR
• A minimum of 4 years of experience (with 2 of the 4 being global HR experience) in an exempt-level (professional) HR position with less than a Bachelor's degree
EXAM FORMAT AND LENGTH:
Computer-based Testing (CBT)
165 multiple-choice questions (140 scored, 25 pre-test)
3 hours in length
CERTIFICATION CYCLE
All Certifications are valid for three years. Recertification is required every three years through demonstrated professional development (preferred method) or retaking the exam.
• Earn 60 recertification credit hours, of which 15 credit hours are in International HR OR retake exam.

EXAM CONTENT
The GPHR Online Assessment Exam consists of 50 questions, compared with the actual GPHR exam's 165 questions. The two exams have the same percentage of questions from each HR content area:
Strategic HR Management: 26%
Global Talent Acquisition and Mobility: 22%
Global Compensation and Benefits: 18%
Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Development: 22%
Workforce Relations and Risk Management: 12%
TIME LIMITS
Sixty (60) minutes is allotted to complete the GPHR Online Assessment Exam. This time limit is proportional to the time allotted for the actual GPHR certification exam. If you require special accommodations for the GPHR certification exam, the GPHR Online Assessment Exam time limit can be extended to 90 minutes to reflect the additional time you will be given on the actual certification exam.
Set aside enough time to finish the exam in one sitting because you must finish it within the time limit. Your "screen time," as shown on the online assessment exam clock, will equal that time limit. The exam clock adjusts for slow modems, busy web periods and any time lost while moving from one question to the next.
