This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise  to audit a social responsibility program based on ISO 26000 and to manage a team of auditors by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. During this training, the participant will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to proficiently plan and perform internal and external audits following the guidance provided by ISO 26000:2010 standard. Based on practical exercises, the participant will develop the skills (mastering audit techniques) and competencies (managing audit teams and audit program, communicating with customers, conflict resolution, etc.) necessary to conduct an audit efficiently. This training is fully compatible with SA8000 (Global social accountability standard by the Social Accountability International).

IMPORTANT NOTE:  ISO 26000 is a reference document that provides guidance for socially responsible behavior into the organization. Organizations that implement these social responsibility guidances based on ISO 26000 cannot be certified by certification bodies nor call themselves ISO 26000 certified. Although it is not possible to get an organization certified to ISO 26000, it is possible to implement its guidance and to audit an organization against this guidance. The personnel certifications PECB offers (Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor) serve to fulfill this market need.

Day 1: Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility concepts as defined by ISO 26000

Day 3: Conducting a social responsibility audit based on ISO 26000

Day 4: Concluding and ensuring the follow-up of a social responsibility audit based on ISO 26000

•Conducting a closing meeting and conclusion of an ISO 26000 audit

Day 5: Certification Exam

Prerequisites

ISO 26000 Foundation Certification or basic knowledge of ISO 26000 is recommended

ISO 26000 is guidance on social responsibility and it is not intended to be used for certification of an organization

•The “Certified ISO 26000 Lead Auditor” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). The exam covers the following competence domains:
